Thomas R. "Pete" Thompson, M.D. is managing partner of Independent Radiology Associates. He is board certified in Radiology. Dr. Thompson attended undergraduate school at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis in 1970. He completed a rotating internship and Radiology residency at the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital in New Orleans in 1975. Dr. Thompson has been in practice with Independent Radiology Associates since 1975. His experience includes general radiology, as well as CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, angiography/special procedures, ultrasound, echocardiography, and radiation therapy. He is the current radiolgy department medical director at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center and has served as chief of medical staff as well. He is a past president of the Northwest Tennessee Academy of Medicine. Dr. Thompson has served as Medical Advisor to the Jackson State Community College Radiologic Technologist Training Program since 1988. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Tennessee Medical Association, American College of Radiology, Radiologic Society of North America, Tennessee Radiologic Society, Flying Physicians Association, and American Society of Echocardiography.

  James H. Wolfe, M.D. is a board certified radiologist practicing General Radiology with personal interest in Ultrasound. Dr. Wolfe graduated from
Millsaps College (Jackson, MS.) in 1974 with B.S. and honors in biology. He attended University of Mississippi Medical School where he received his medical degree in 1978. After an internship and partial residency in Internal Medicine at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, he completed his residency in Radiology in December 1982 at BMH. The final six months he served as Chief Resident. With the exception of nine months radiology practice in Beaumont, Texas, Dr. Wolfe has practiced with Independent Radiology Associates in Northwest, Tennessee. He currently serves as the radiology department medical director at the Baptist Memorial Hospital at Lauderdale. He currently serves as Alternate Councilor, Tennessee Radiological Society. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiologic Society of North America, the American Medical Association, the Tennessee Medical Association, the Northwest TN Academy of Medicine, and the Tennessee Radiologic Society. He is a past president of the Northwest Tennessee Academy of Medicine. Dr. Wolfe currently resides in Jackson, Tennessee with his wife Susan, daughter Emily, and son Max.

  J. Mark Legan, M.D. is a board certified radiologist with special interest in chest imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, and interventional radiology. Dr. Legan attended the
University of Missouri in Columbia where he received a B.S. in physics. He also attended the University of Tennessee and received the M.S. in physics. He returned to the University of Missouri - Columbia where he received his medical degree in 1985. Dr. Legan completed his post-graduate training in the United States Navy. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Radiology at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California. He also served in the United States Navy as a medical officer at the Naval Medical Clinic in Port Hueneme and was the battalion medical officer for Naval Mobile Construction Battalion III - also home ported in Port Hueneme. Following residency, Dr. Legan completed his naval service as a staff radiologist and department head at the Naval Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Legan is the current Chief of Medical Staff at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center and has served as medical director of the radiology department there and at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiologic Society of North America, the American Medical Association and the Northwest Tennessee Academy of Medicine.

  Mark A. Jones, M.D. is a board certified Radiologist with a special interest in neurologic and musculoskeletal imaging. Dr. Jones attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where he received a B.A. in chemistry. He subsequently attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Science in Little Rock where he received his medical degree in 1987. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Radiology at the Naval Hospital in Oakland California. Between these experiences he served as a ship’s Medical Officer aboard the USS Niagara Falls, home ported in Guam. Following residency Dr. Jones completed his Naval service by serving as a staff radiologist at the Naval Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Jones is the current radiology department medical director at the
Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City and has served as the radiology department medical director at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He is the current He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiologic Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American Medical Association and the Northwest Tennessee Academy of Medicine.

  Thomas Wade Carrington, RPA, RT, CT, R is a board certified Radiology Practitioner Assistant, registered Radiologic Technologist and registered Computed Tomography Technologist with special interest in Fluoroscopy, Arthrography, and Clinical Pathway. Wade attended
Jackson State Community College 1981-1985 and received an Associates of Science degree in Radiologic Science while completing his clinical education at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He worked as a Radiologic Technologist in the C.T. Scan and Interventional suite at Jackson Madison-County General hospital 1985-1987. He then became the supervisor of a 5 hospital mobile C.T. scanner based out of Smith County Memorial Hospital in Carthage, TN from 1987-1989. In 1989, Wade returned to West Tennessee joining Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City working in the C.T. suite. In 1997 while on staff at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, Wade became a registered Computed Tomography Technologist.
In 2000, Wade joined the Independent Radiology Associates staff as a Radiology Assistant working in the reading room at Methodist Hospital-Dyersburg. In 2002-2004 Wade continued his education at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah where he received a Radiology Practitioner Assistant certificate while completing his clinical preceptorship at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. As class president, Wade became a board certified RPA in July 2004. He now works at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City and Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He is a member of the National Society of Radiology Practitioner Assistants, Tennessee Society of Radiologic Technologist, Certification Board of Radiology Practitioner Assistants and American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
